Scott Molloy wins top teaching award

Scott Molloy, a founder of the Institute for Labor Studies and a long-time and very active board member, was named Rhode Island Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.

Scott is well known for his dynamic teaching style and his passion for Labor. While studying for his Ph.D. in history, he was a bus driver and a union leader.

He has taught at URI for 21 years, and at the Institute for 27.
